- Picking up your vehicle, you need to bring & know...
- A valid DRIVER'S LICENCE) held for at least 12 months must be presented on arrival at the Europcar counter for the main driver and ANY ADDITIONAL DRIVER
- It is MANDATORY to carry both Local/Domestic licence & International Driving licence together
- Please note that any driver with a UK DRIVING LICENCE hiring in the UK should also bring a valid
- 'Share Driving Licence' one-time passcode from the DVLA so we can validate their driving record.

- UK driver's licence holders might need additional documents to drive in the EU and EEA after Brexit, please check with locations for more details.
- The CREDIT CARD used should be in the main driver’s name. (Please note that for Selection, Premium, Luxury vehicles, two credit cards will be required).
- Please note we do not accept DEBIT, PREPAID TRAVEL CARD, ATM (ELECTRON) or RELOADABLE CARD issued by Money Exchange.
- Your PASSPORT for all nationalities
- For rentals in United Kingdom, UK residents should also bring a PAPER BASED PROOF OF ADDRESS (such as a bank statement or utility bill that is less than 3 months old).
- For Russian credit card holders, please ensure your credit card is valid abroad. If not, another means of payment will be required
- Please note, it is mandatory to purchase Europdrive Cross-border Cover if you plan to take your vehicle out of the UK. Please check with the branch directly prior to pick-up for more details and whether your vehicle is eligible for overseas travel.
- Cross border fee & toll tickets need to purchased locally for overseas travel.
- Kindly check your reservation details are accurate as per your requirements, make sure flight details are provided to keep the car available in case your flight is delayed, Europcar will hold your car maximum for 01 hour & shall release the car if you do not arrive on time.
- For a safe journey, please familiarize yourself with the vehicle’s control prior to setting off. These can be found in the Vehicle information card. Also, make sure to check the engine type at the time of collecting the vehicle.
- The rental agreement is concluded with the Europcar company of the respective rental country and the general rental conditions of the respective rental country apply.
- Deposit:
- When you arrive at the rental location, you will be asked to leave a deposit against your rental. Deposit amount will be blocked (not debited) on your payment card at pick-up time or, in case of Online Check-In, it will be blocked within 48 hours prior to pick-up. This amount will be deducted from the authorized expense limit on your payment card. Please note that it may take up to 30 working days for the deposit monies to be available in your credit card account depending on your bank or card provider. Deposit will be used for extra charges (e.g., fuel missing at return, extra-day, extra-mileage, one-way charge, etc.) The approximate amount of deposit varies as per destination/duration/car category & an approximate amt will be mentioned in your reservation confirmation. The deposit amount indicated in the reservation might be higher in certain countries depending on the season.
- Cancellation Policy & No-Show Fee:
- If you wish to modify or cancel your booking you can do it by using the same booking channel as the one used for your reservation.
- Confirmed Bookings:
- Modifications to your booking are free of charge upto 48 hours before the pick-up time (though new rental prices may apply & vehicles status are subject to availability)
- Cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before the time of pick-up and helps us allocate the vehicle to another customer. You may cancel by using the same booking channel as the one used for your reservation or by contacting Europcar local Call Center.
- If you fail to collect the vehicle in due time and have not cancelled the reservation, a fee of 95 EUR/ GBP 102/ AUD 176/ NZD 184/ 700 DKK/ $100 USD /AED 1000 (depending on local currency) or the whole price of rental if value is lower, will be charged.
- If you return the vehicle to us before the end of the agreed rental period, then you will not be entitled to a refund for any unused days.
- Damage Invoicing
- Once you have returned the vehicle & if we find damages to the vehicle at the end of your rental which have been caused by you, then Europcar will examine the vehicle with the garage & inform you if you are liable to pay repair and admin costs or if it’s covered with your opted insurance. If you wish to contest the damage identified or the cost of repair, you should contact us within 14 days. At the end of this 14-day period, Europcar may invoice you for the repair and admin costs.
